Comments:
BMW M-Series 5 (M = Motorsport) S38B36 E34 is designed specifically for the adrenaline racing enthusiast in his time (produced only about 580 left steering units and less than 160 units of the right steering wheel). To satisfy their owners M5 engine was developed as enhancements to the engine design BMW M1 (M88-6Cyl) who became famous S38-6Cyl which became the forerunner Mesin2 6Cyl next Motorsport (M3 E36 ~ E46). BMW Motorsport GMBH Division deliberately designed the M5 with a sensation of Sports Cars, but luxury for the rider. Unfortunately, M5 rear bench can only be occupied by 2 passengers since the middle console box accidentally filled in the seats and cooler-box on the back.

With a character but a luxury sport (Sport-Premium) which presents extreme power and handling with no compromise made the M5 as a car with a class of its own that became the benchmark for deep-pocketed pengila adrenaline rush era of the 90s that hardly-Premium Sports Cars of all makes.

Positive aspects:
  • Luxury but Low-Profile (looks almost the same with other E34 5 series)
  • Handling of accurate
  • Powerful Engine power
  • BMW Premium Quality
  • Body trim and exterior panels are easily obtained (together with other E34)
  • Giving a true sensation of Sport and very exclusive (in-Indonesia there are only a dozen units)

Negative aspects:
  • Maintenance of Machinery and meticulous Suspension
  • Certain Spareparts must pivot because rarely are orders
  • No suitable driver steered
  • Not designed for stop-n-go traffic (petrol so wasteful)
  • Unfortunately for use as daily car in the city (Just so car collection)

Personal Opinion:
Foreign-ordinary car is not for people who just can buy it, technical understanding and character owned this car will be supporting that unites Vehicles and drivers in all situations, especially at speeds above the average, or when the needle touches the red-line RPM and enjoy it as a sensation other than just driving a regular car, all wrapped in a precision technology and luxury are also without compromise
